In Norse mythology, Nótt is more than the personification of night—she is the night itself. One of the oldest beings in existence, she was present before the gods, veiled in black, carrying the silence, calm, and secrets of the cosmos.

She had three husbands and bore a child with each: Auðr, the spirit of wealth; Jörð, the Earth itself; and Dagr, the god of the day. Through them, Nótt became the mother of the sky, the earth, the sun, and the rhythm of human life. She is the boundary between light and dark, between sleep and waking—the quiet foundation of the world’s balance.

The gods raised her into the sky, where each night she rides her black steed, Hrímfaxi, across the heavens. From the horse’s foaming mouth, the morning dew is born. Olfactory notes

The top notes open with bergamot, cardamom and pepper. Bergamot brings a slightly bitter and refreshing citrus touch, while cardamom offers an exotic spicy sweetness and pepper adds a spiciness that awakens the senses, together creating a vibrant and stimulating opening.

The heart of the fragrance is composed of patchouli, vanilla and benzoin. Patchouli introduces earthy and slightly smoky notes, vanilla envelops the middle with its gourmand and comforting sweetness, and benzoin brings a balsamic richness that adds a resinous and warm depth, enriching the heart of the fragrance with a rich and enveloping texture.

Base notes of vetiver, tonka and musk provide a robust and sensual conclusion. Vetiver brings a woody and earthy freshness, tonka bean an almost caramelized sweetness, and musk a subtle and long-lasting sensuality, finishing the fragrance with a rich and soothing base.

Candle Safety & Use Instructions

Never leave a burning candle unattended.
Keep away from children and pets.
Do not place a burning candle near flammable objects or in a draft.
Trim the wick to about 5 mm before each burn.
Allow the wax to melt evenly to the edges on the first burn to avoid tunneling.
Do not burn for more than 4 hours at a time.
Discontinue use when 1 cm of wax remains.

Tip: place the candle on a heat-resistant surface and ventilate the room after use.

What does it mean if a candle is CMR-free?

CMR stands for:

C – Carcinogenic (cancer-causing)
M – Mutagenic (causes genetic damage)

If a candle or fragrance is labeled as CMR-free, it means it contains no substances classified by the EU as carcinogenic, mutagenic, or toxic to reproduction. This is especially important for products used indoors, like scented candles, which release volatile compounds into the air during use.
